Position Overview

An internationally award-winning, growing Memphis agency, RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy – named by the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce as one of the “Top 10 Companies to Watch” in 2014 – is seeking an experienced account service professional with 7+ years of experience to join the team. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of measurably moving the needle for clients, as well as strong leadership experience.

The Director of Client Service will lead the agency's account/copy and creative teams that produce for our clients allowing for complete alignment of client deliverables. The Director will collaborate with the research/strategy team on all client strategies his/her team will ultimately execute and then lead the team of producers to ensure agreed upon client deliverables and metrics are achieved. 

More specifically, the Director of Client Service will be charged with:

  • Serving as a member of the agency's senior leadership team which includes involvement in major agency decisions and assisting in leading our team toward our aggressive growth goals
  • Recruiting and developing account/copy and creative talent; team management
  • Supporting our producers in delivering exceptionally well executed marketing strategies, achieving targeted client metrics, and continuing with RedRover's reputation for satisfied clients with high retention
  • Reviewing/approving all produced work of significance before it leaves the firm
  • Improving productivity of the account/copy and creative teams
  • Monitoring and improving account gross margins, where needed

This position reports directly to the CEO, and as such, ideal candidates must be comfortable working fairly autonomously within the RedRover framework after ramping into the company/role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate the following required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • An extensive track record of creating measurable results on client campaigns
  • Strong leadership experience with a successful track record of coaching and developing of employees
  • An analytical problem solver
  • The ability to persuade others when you believe strongly in your position
  • Basic understanding of agency finances
  • Experience operating within an agency management platform
